In a blunt interview on TVC TV, the Zonal Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in SouthEast, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu believes that the SouthEast region is taking positive steps towards improving their relationship with the APC administration and that these efforts will yield positive results.

He acknowledges that the region's low turnout for APC in the previous election was largely due to the emotional attachment to a candidate from their region.

However, he emphasizes that the region has since recognized this as a mistake and is now witnessing a growing number of people from other parties defecting to the APC.

He said, "Our leaders and our people generally are working hard to improve the fortune of the SouthEast zone for the administration. And I believe that will yield a lot of good fruits. But there's always this question of the number of votes that the South East gave to the party in the last election. We did not vote for APC because of the emotion of our brother in the race. But we have realized our mistakes. And on a daily basis, you see people from other parties joining us, planning to move over to the APC.
