Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, recently sent a message on his official X account in which he condemned a new US legislative rule that outlaws criticism of Israel.

He expressed his disapproval of the United States' decline from a free and courageous nation to one that bows down to Israel in his statement. He said that the United States had become immoral and unethical because it prioritised Israel's interests over those of its own people. According to Fani-Kayode, the United States has been a global superpower in the past, but now it's more like Israel's "lap dog."

Because the United States backs Israel, he said, the United States is complicit in Israel's crimes, such as the genocide and war crimes in Gaza. It was said that the United States is hypocritical when it criticises other leaders yet protects Israel from criticism and legal responsibility.

By drawing parallels to an Orwellian dystopia, Fani-Kayode blasted American lawmakers for criminalising anti-Israel sentiment and stifling free speech. Even if Israel has a long history of brutality and injustice against Palestinians, he questioned why the United States treats Israel preferentially. American senators' support for Israel, Fani-Kayode said, comes at the expense of their constituents' interests. Protests and grassroots movements across the United States have questioned the country's pro-Israel position and shown support for the Palestinian people, as lauded in the statement.

Stand up to injustice demonstrators, Fani-Kayode said, and you would be America's "saving grace." Finally, he pleaded with the world to condemn Israel's crimes and take a stance against its tyranny, requesting that the international community rally behind Gaza and Palestine. Fani-Kayode voiced optimism about the activity of the younger generation and their ability to influence the United States' foreign policy towards Israel.
