Senator Rufai Hanga, the federal member for the Kano Central Senatorial District in the national assembly's red chamber, has released a statement. He claimed that the idea that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso would form an alliance with Tinubu was only a speculation.

The Sun reported that Hanga said that the 2023 NNPP presidential candidate, Kwankwaso, visited President Tinubu in Aso Rock to congratulate him on his win. He made this statement in a special interview.

Recall that to become president, Tinubu—a former governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the APC—defeated three formidable opponents: Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the NNPP, Peter Obi of the LP, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

On May 29th, 2023, he succeeded Muhammadu Buhari. His government has received praise and criticism from many quarters.

According to Senator Rufai Hanga, "it was just a mere speculation that Kwankwaso was going to ally with Tinubu. What I know is that the relationship between the two of them is cordial. Kwankwaso and Tinubu are friends."

"They were in the National Assembly together. While Kwankwaso was the Deputy Speaker in the House of Representatives, Tinubu was a senator. They also served together as governors at the same time. I was equally there with him in the National Assembly."

"When Tinubu came to power, Kwankwaso went to Aso Rock to congratulate him. I am very close to Kwankwaso."
