The Lagos State Police Command has initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death of Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a prominent Nigerian e-commerce company. Imudia reportedly died by suicide at his residence in Lekki, Lagos. The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this development on Thursday, stating that Imudia allegedly jumped from his balcony on June 25. The investigation is being handled by the homicide section of the SCID in Yaba.

It was revealed that the 45-year-old Imudia contacted his brother in the United States before his death, giving him instructions on how to distribute his wealth. He also called his young daughter, assuring her that he would always be with her. Following these calls, Imudia, who was the CEO of D.light, a leader in residential solar energy solutions, reportedly jumped from his apartment balcony, resulting in his death upon impact.

As the investigation continues, the reasons behind Imudia's actions remain unclear, leaving his family, friends, and associates in a state of shock. Born on April 28, 1979, in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Imudia had a distinguished educational background. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Management from the Mikkeli Institute of Technology in Finland, a Master of Engineering in Oil and Gas Technology from Aalborg University, and an MBA in International Business Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. He was previously married, but the marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.
