Legislator Daniel Manduku has courageously addressed the growing disillusionment among the Kenyan public regarding the current government.

Daniel Manduku acknowledged that many citizens have lost faith in the administration, leading to calls for Members of Parliament (MPs) to vacate their positions.

"Members of the public have lost faith in the government hence the need to have MPs leave office," Manduku stated.

His remarks came in the wake of his vote in favor of President William Ruto’s Finance Bill, a decision that has further fueled public discontent.

Manduku did not stop at acknowledging the problem; he also proposed a bold solution. He asserted his commitment to advocating for the dissolution of Parliament and the organization of fresh elections.

"I will be sustaining my calls to have Parliament dissolved and fresh elections organized for the government to reclaim legitimacy from the Kenyan population," he declared.

Daniel Manduku believes that this move is essential for restoring public confidence and legitimacy of President Ruto's government, Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

The Finance Bill, which has been a contentious issue, aimed to implement various fiscal policies, but has faced huge opposition from the public and some political personnel from the other side, Azimio.

Manduku’s stance shows a bigger recognition among some lawmakers of the urgent need to address the public's concerns and restore trust in the government.

His readiness to leave office, if it means restoring legitimacy, marks a great moment in politics, demonstrating a willingness to prioritize the nation's democratic health over personal political ambition.

As the debate over the Finance Bill continues and calls for new elections grow louder, Manduku’s statements underscore the critical juncture at which politics currently stands.

His commitment to listening to the public and seeking new mandates through fresh elections may set a precedent for how political accountability and public trust can be reestablished in the country.
