Two robbers who attacked residents, stole his N500,000 land in police net

Two robbers who were said to have invaded the home of a man, attacked him and stole his N500,000 have been arrested by men of the Kano State Police Command, the Public Relations Officer of the command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, announced in a statement today.

The Police PRO disclosed the development on his Facebook wall in the statement regarding the various arrests made by the command, saying the two robbers, Yakubu Mohammed, aged 22 years and Sunusi Musa, aged 23 years, were arrested by a team of detectives attached to the command.

It was gathered that a report was received from a resident of Bompai Quarters in Kano metropolis that some robbers who wielded dangerous weapons invaded his house, attacked and injured him while also going away with the N500,000.

The command wrote: "On receiving the report, a team of detectives immediately swung into action and arrested the two robbers at their hideout. During the investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime and a sharp knife was recovered from them."

They were said to have given more useful information to the detectives and they are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.

The state police command has been grappling with the activities of various criminal groups, including armed robbers, thugs, bandits, terrorists, among others, in various parts of the state.
