Tinubu Has Seven More Years to Deliver Road Projects – Umahi

Minister of Works, David Umahi, announced the Renewed Hope Legacy Infrastructure Project, aiming to complete road projects over eight years under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. This includes the 477km Cross River-Ebonyi-Benue-Kogi-Nasarawa-Apo superhighway. The project features reinforced concrete roads designed to last 50 years, solar streetlights, and train tracks. North Central Governors and stakeholders praised the initiative, emphasizing its potential economic benefits.

JUST IN: National Power Grid Collapses Again

Nigeria's power grid collapsed for the fourth time in 2024, with electricity generation dropping to 0.80 MW. The decline began around 2 PM, and by 3:09 PM, the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company confirmed a complete system collapse, affecting power supply across multiple states. The Trans-Amadi Power Plant was the sole generator of the minimal remaining power.

Don’t allow violent groups overrun Nigeria, Tinubu tells Army

President Bola Tinubu urged the Nigerian Army to prevent violent groups from overrunning the country during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Nigeria Army Day in Plateau State. Represented by the Minister of Defence, Tinubu commended the Army's sacrifices and announced the approval of Group Life Assurance for fallen soldiers and the purchase of attack helicopters to boost their capabilities. He emphasized the need for the Army to evolve with global security threats and maintain professionalism. The event also featured military displays, the commissioning of aircraft, and awards for outstanding service.

The campaign also welcomed defectors from other parties, indicating growing support for PDP in Edo State.
