Simi: Men, Crying is a Sign of Strength, Not Weakness

Simi, a talented singer, advocates for men to embrace their emotional side, revealing that she finds it endearing when they express vulnerability and cry.

In a recent interview on the 90's Baby Show, Simi emphasized the importance of men opening up about their feelings, rather than hiding behind a tough facade. She believes that true strength lies in embracing emotions, not suppressing them, and that vulnerability fosters trust and deeper connections in relationships. By sharing their emotions, men can show courage and build stronger bonds with others.

Simi also warned that keeping emotions bottled up can be harmful, leading to inner drama and potentially a massive blow up if not addressed.

She emphasized the importance of expressing feelings in a healthy way, like a pressure release valve for your emotions. By speaking up and letting it all out, you can avoid the negative consequences of bottling up and maintain a more chill state of mind.

In her words: “I find it beautiful when men cry because I’m surrounded by many men who feel they have to be macho or strong all the time.”

She reiterated: “When you see men and women going through the same pain, the man often says, ‘I have to be strong for my wife or kids.’ I think that’s okay, but I don’t think strength means not being vulnerable or crying.”

“I like it when men cry because it means that you feel safe with who you are with, you can be vulnerable, and you can let go. I have seen African men act like they are the warrior, protectors, and providers. But if it’s not coming out in your tears, it’s going inside your heart, and one day you are just going to explode,” she explained.
