Aformer Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) on Friday said he is grateful to God he has been discharged and acquitted of any involvement in Malabu Oil Block (OPL 245) scandal.
He also said he is weighing the option of suing the Federal Government and all those who contributed to his ordeal.
He insisted that he only carried out a Presidential Approval/Directive to implement the subsisting 2006 Settlement Agreement between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Malabu.

The Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has stated that the state under his watch generates between N26 to N27 billion monthly as Internally Generated Revenue.
This was as the governor restated that his Administration operates a transparent accounting system in its deployment of scarce resources in providing essential services to the people.
spoke when he played host to the leadership and members of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts on a courtesy visit to Government House in Port Harcourt, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi.

Tinubu Appoints Halima Kyari As NAICOM Chairperson

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ms. Halima Kyari as the Chairperson of the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM.
The President in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday also appointed Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin as a Commissioner for Insurance.
Other professionals appointed to the board of NAICOM are Mr. Olawoye Gam-Ikon, Deputy Commissioner (Technical Operations), and Dr. Usman Ankara Jimada, Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Administration).
Four Die In Crash On Owerri-Onitsha Express Road

Four people died in a crash on Friday at Ogbakwu along Onitsha express road.
The accident involved a lorry and a Lord’s Chosen luxury bus.
Eyewitnesses said the crash occured when a lorry with registration number ABU 157 YX came out from Orokwe Market Road and joined Owerri-Onitsha Express Road without proper observation.
