A Former Chairman of Emohua LGA in Rivers State, Chidi Lloyd speaking on the appeal Court Judgment has explained that Justice Wale of the State High Court issued an order preventing Martins Amaewhule and others from presenting themselves as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

He stated that this order led to the appointment of the Pro Fubara's Lawmakers speaker, Oko Jumbo, who then acted as the speaker after Edison Ehie became the Chief of Staff. He criticized the tendency for people to provide misleading commentaries tailored to their preferences on the Rivers State crisis. He sarcastically stated that in Rivers State, many individuals possess law degrees, but only a few practice with true legal understanding.

He said in an interview with TVC, ''Justice Wale of the State High Court gave an order that stopped Martins Amaewhule and others from parading themselves as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Justice Wale order gave rise to the appointment of Oko Jumbo who masqueraded as speaker. But you see, the law is not emotional and it does not see through the emotions of people.

The law sees through it own eyes. And for those who says that the Court of Appeal just said that the Local Court has no jurisdiction, it is a vacuous claim. Unfortunately for us in Rivers State, everybody has been called to bar but only very few people parade the law degree. People give wrong commentaries in the way that it suit them. I heard a lawyer saying that three people can pass a law in the House when the judgment of Justice Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja had nullified that act by the governor of Rivers State.''
