Political analyst Herman Manyora has brought to limelight the aftermath of the the 'Gen-Z' and 'Millennials' demonstrations particularly when they broke into parliament on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

"The day that the Gen-Z and millennials broke into parliament, I was put to taste as a parent, as a father, as a grandfather and as a Kenyan." Manyora claimed.

He continued to say, "My Millennial and Gen Z children, told me that they were going to join the demonstration. Looking at how determined they were, I knew I would not stop them. So I told them, am not giving you permission to go home, neither am I stopping you."

However, Manyora lamented that when the protesters broke into parliament, he heard what appeared to him to be real gunshots with love bullets. Sure to his words he confirmed that people had fallen down lifelessly during the demonstrations. He said that it was confirmed by TV News headlines "Several protesters shot dead by police". But minutes later, the headlines withdrew the word 'dead'.

He said that the scenario made him to feel very terrible as a Kenyan and a father wondering how the real mothers to the dead children.

He reflected on the people who fought for Kenya's independence when he saw blood for the lifeless bodies flowing down after gunshots. He asked himself a question, "What are the people who died for this country feeling down there? Are there bones not turning in their graves? Whether they be conventional graves or mass graves. To see that the blood of young Kenyans is being absorbed by the land they formed by shedding their own blood?"

He claimed that as a country, Kenya has failed young men and women and it's high time to consider and respect them.

He claimed that many educated young men and women are jobless because they lack connections.

In his closing remarks, he as well, called the young people to try to understand the leaders of Kenya. To the president, he should listen to the young people inorder to protect the future of the country.
