29-Year-Old Super Falcons Midfielder Scores First Goal Of The Season

Super Falcons' midfielder, Halimatu Ayinde recorded her first goal of the season during Rosengard FC's 7-0 triumph over IF Brommapojkarna in the Swedish women’s Premier League on Sunday. 

According to Nigeria Football, Sofie Brefgaard started the scoring for Ayinde's side in the fourth minute.

This was followed by Rebecca Knaak's goal in the 14th minute after she was setup by Olivia Schough.

Ayinde increased the tally to 3-0 in the 18th minute with Mai Kadowaki providing her with the assist. 

Meanwhile, Olivia Holdt scored the fourth goal in the 34th minute before half-time. 

In the first six minutes of the second half, Kadowaki scored her second of the encounter to take Rosengard FC's lead to 5-0. 

Olivia Schough subsequently scored twice in the 72nd and 79th minutes, to end the encounter with 7-0 victory. 

Ayinde was later substituted in the 56th minute. 

This victory propelled Rosengard ten points ahead at the league summit with 33 points garnered from 11 matches. 

The 29-year-old is expected to be part of the Super Falcons' squad for the 2024 Olympics.
