Temitope Ajayi, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, has replied to Landmark's management's accusation that their $200 million investment was destroyed in six hours.

This comes after the Federal Government destroyed Landmark Beach to begin construction on the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.

Landmark told PUNCH that the Federal Government destroyed the beach in six hours after it had been built for six years.

Temitope Ajayi objected to the comment, claiming that the entire Landmark property is worth up to $200 million. He further stated that $200 million is more than N260 billion at the current Naira exchange rate. According to Temitope Ajayi, the aggregate annual budgets of more than 20 states in Nigeria do not reach N200.

Temitope Ajayi wrote this in a post on his official page.

In his words, "I often ask, what is within the entire Landmark premises that is up to $200m. At current exchange rate to Naira, $200m is over N260 billion. For context, the annual budget of more than 20 states in Nigeria is not up to N200 billion."
