Military Reassures Nigerians of Commitment to Peace and Security

During a recent visit to Plateau State, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, reassured Nigerians that the Armed Forces and other security agencies are dedicated to ensuring peace and security throughout the nation.

According to a report by Channels Television, General Musa visited Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Government House in Jos on Monday.

After the meeting, he spoke to journalists, highlighting the importance of public cooperation with the military to combat insecurity effectively.

He called on Nigerians to assist by exposing and reporting criminals to the authorities, emphasizing that maintaining peace is a shared responsibility.

Governor Mutfwang expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for instructing security agencies to restore peace in the state.

These directives have led to a return of relative peace and normalcy in previously troubled areas of Plateau State.

General Musa's visit included senior military officers from the Defence Headquarters, such as the General Officer Commanding Three Division of the Nigerian Army and the commander of Operation Safe Haven.
