5 Years After They Laughed At Him For Singing National Anthem, Pantami Changes The Life Of Young Man

opera.com 2 days ago

Many aspire to follow in Umar Ibrahim Umar's footsteps and go from grass to grace, but few are able to bear the hardships that come with it. In 2019, you may remember that numerous social media sites had a picture of a young youth corper who was eventually identified as Umar Ibrahim Umar.

As he led a procession of fellow corpers through the camp, the photo showed a young man passionately singing the national hymn.

After more than a year of being unfound, Umar finally spoke up on June 29, 2022, in response to a subtle troll named Idansznn who had posted a picture of him and implied that Umar had failed miserably and ended up working as a point-of-sale operator on the streets.

Umar graciously responded to Idansznn, stating, "I'm not in the point-of-sale business, but I'm still happy, thankful, hopeful with 9ja in my heart!" Now, five years after this photo went viral and three years after Umar responded to Twitter haters, the young man appears to be succeeding. Umar claims that Alhaji Isa Pantami has had a profound impact on his life in a recent post.

Umar announced Isa Pantami's generous offers of a fully-funded scholarship, a respectable position inside one of his foundations, and a connection to a sustainable energy mentor as he was celebrating his most recent victory on X. He mentioned that he had accepted an invitation to Prof. Isa Pantami's office yesterday.

Many opportunities were presented to me by him at that very moment. which included connecting me with a renewable energy mentor, providing me with a fully financed postgraduate scholarship, and landing a decent paying job with one of his foundations.

words fail me when I try to convey how much I appreciate it. In this world and the next, may Allah shower him with even more blessings and elevate him.
