An X (Twitter) user, Bolanle Olukanni, has come out to voice her displeasure with the Nigerian passport as she narrates how her father, who is a retired ambassador to Austria, was denied a visa alongside her mother to Austria.
She wrote;
"I just want you guys to know that the Nigerian passport has really been bastardized. My father is a retired ambassador who lived and served in Austria for 3 years. He applied for a Schengen visa alongside my mom, and the Austrian Embassy denied their visas😂😂
Do you realize the lack of diplomacy, courtesy, and disregard for a country you have to have to deny a former foreign service officer a visa? A foreign service officer who served for 30 years and has been to over 30 countries 😂😭😭😭😂

What could be the reason they were denied a visa to Austria?
Is it really because they applied with a Nigerian passport? or is there more to it?
