Team of the Week for Quarter-Finals 2nd Leg
The UEFA Champions League quarterfinal served football fans with many interesting games. Real Madrid was able to see off Manchester City in a very tight game that was decided on penalties.
Borussia Dortmund eliminated Atletico Madrid after a 4-2 win in the second leg. Arsenal, after playing a 3-3 draw in the first leg against Bayern Munich succumbed to a 1-0 loss in the second leg as they got eliminated. Paris Saint-Germain was able to clinch a place in the semi-finals after a 4-1 win against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Many players put in very impressive performances in the second leg ties and managed to get themselves into the UEFA team of the week.
Julian Brandt of Borussia Dortmund put in an impressive performance against Atletico Madrid as he opened the scoring against Atletico Madrid. This got him a place in the team of the week.
Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe also got a place in the team of the week, according to the official UEFA Twitter account. Both players helped Paris Saint-Germain get a impressive win against Barcelona. While Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring and was a menace all through, Kylian Mbappe scored twice.
Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich of Bayern Munich also got a place on the team of the week. Kevin De Bruyne also got himself on the team, though his spirited performance wasn't enough to see his team through.
