According to a report from Paris-based journalist Ojora Babatunde, Plymouth Argyle is on the verge of finalizing a loan deal for Slavia Prague striker Muhamed Tijani.
The 23-year-old is currently in Devon to undergo a medical examination before completing a season-long move to Home Park to play under the management of Wayne Rooney.
As per Football League World, the Nigerian forward has played for various teams in the Czech top flight, starting from Karvina and then spending three seasons with Banik Ostrava.
Despite joining Slavia Prague last summer, he only scored two goals in 25 appearances due to limited playing time with the top-tier runners-up.
However, Tijani gained recognition as a prolific striker during the 2022/2023 season when he netted 11 goals in 32 matches for Banik Ostrava, leading to his transfer to Slavia Prague.
The forward returned to cause trouble for his former team shortly after leaving, scoring the sole goal of the match in his debut for Slavia to secure a 1-0 win for his current team.
Despite starting only ten league games this season, Tijani had few chances to showcase his skills over the past year, managing to score two goals in the league and two in the Europa League.
