President Ruto Claims His Children Also Lack Job Opportunities

President William Ruto reaffirmed that his administration was tackling the nation's growing youth unemployment rate.

Ruto disclosed to the media at the State House that the dearth of jobs in the nation has had an impact on his children.

"We need to find a solution for youth unemployment. He said, "You Kenyans who are not in school or college, including my own children, speak to me, and they don't have the opportunity to work or make money off of their talents."

Ruto claims that his kids don't have the means to monetize their channels or do as they please. He said his efforts would assist his children as well.

Nick Ruto, Charlene Chelagat Ruto, Stephanie Jepchumba Ruto, June Ruto, George Ruto, and Nadia Cherono Ruto are among the children of notable figures. They have experimented with a variety of disciplines, such as international relations, communication, and law.

All of Ruto's children—aside from his second daughter Charlene, who oversees her foundation—have remained out of the spotlight and low key. The Ministry of Health just appointed her as Kenya's Blood Ambassador.

In the meantime, Ruto stated in the interview that this was a means of guaranteeing that all young Kenyans would have access to employment possibilities following their graduation.

The President also discussed the developments around the employment agreement between Kenya and Germany, which will create jobs for 250,000 Kenyans.

"We recently concluded negotiations with Germany to increase the number of young workers in Germany. I'm doing these things because they spoke to young people throughout the campaigns," he continued.

Ruto revealed that the two nations have clinched the deal, and September is when it will be signed. The original dates set were not the same as the updated timelines.

The Head of State emphasized that Kenyans will provide Germany's annual hiring need of 250,000 workers. Germany just disclosed that it was looking for caregivers and drivers.

In addition to the employment agreement with Germany, Ruto disclosed that his government had conversations with TikTok and other social media companies to make sure Kenyans receive compensation for their contributions.

"I have made the extra effort to phone TikTok's executives. It was me who persuaded TikTok to allow Kenyans to make money off of the platform's content. I think there are young people interested in making money off of their talent who are in non-traditional areas," he continued.
