Spanish star player, Pablo Gavi has finally been registered with Spanish La Liga as a first team player with Barcelona football club. Also, the number on his jersey was changed from number 30 to 6. With this change, Gavi and Pedri will now wear the number 6 and 8 jersey that was once won by 2 Barcelona legends who played together few years ago.
Some years back, the iconic number 6 and number 8 jersey were adorned by Spanish midfielders, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta respectively. The combination of these two talented midfielders helped Barcelona football club to win several trophies. There combination had a lasting impact on the Spanish National team as they won 2 Euro trophies and 1 FIFA World Cup. Since their departures, Barcelona football club have struggled to get a suitable replacement but it seems that the wait is over.
Pablo Gavi and Pedri Rodriguez are not just wearing the jersey that was previously won by Xavi and Iniesta, they have gone on to give some mind blowing display while playing together. Both players won the Golden ball awards and their fine display have helped Barcelona to a 5 points lead in the Spanish La Liga table.
