Two persons have been killed while nine others were abducted in separate attacks, launched by suspected terrorists at some communities in Dansadau Emirate of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

A resident of the troubled area told AIT News via telephone, that the suspected terrorists killed one person and abducted one at the Yargaladima community, and then moved to the Maigoge community, where they also killed one and abducted one other person to an unknown location.

The resident also said the terrorists abducted six people from their farmlands after attacking and ransacking the community in search of food in the Dansadau community.

The terrorists also returned to the Dansadau community, where they abducted one person from his farm on Friday.

The locals said the terrorists are launching incessant attacks on communities in the Dansadau Emirate because the people refused to accept to negotiate with the terrorists, aligning themselves with the Zamfara State Government's stance, not to negotiate with the criminals, which provoked them to come after communities in the emirate.

According to the locals, the past government had initiated peace dialogue with the terrorists, but it did not yield positive results, which informed their stance to reject the idea in their emirate.

They want the government to deploy more troops with sophisticated firearms, to continue the onslaught against the terrorists and flush them out of Zamfara State.

AIT News also gathered that the terrorists blocked the Gusau-Dansadau Road, where commuters spent between three and four days on the road until this Friday.

Dansadau Emirate in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State has been facing violent attacks by suspected terrorists, and it was the community where banditry emerged, due to the large Kuyabana Forest that spreads to Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, Niger and Kebbi States, and serves as hideouts for the terrorists.

Terrorist kingpin Dogo Gide, is believed to have relocated to the Kizara community in the Magami District of Gusau Local Government Area, and this development has triggered tension within the area.

It is also said that the terrorists' leader relocated to the community to offer protection to the farmers, so they could access their farmlands during this year's rainy season.

Some sources revealed that the people of Magami had entered into negotiations with the terrorists, which is why the terrorists' leader, Dogo Gide, relocated to the community to protect the people from being attacked by other terrorists in the area.
