According to a report by Punch on Sunday, July 7, 2024, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has emphasized his vigilance against sexual immorality despite his age and spiritual position.

In a recent sermon at the Ministers & Workers Conference of RCCG Americas 1, themed "The Glory Ahead," Adeboye cautioned fellow ministers against the misconception that spiritual anointing alone can shield them from temptation.

Adeboye, sharing insights from the biblical story of Samson, stressed that even great anointing does not immunize one from falling into sexual sin. He highlighted the story of Samson, a judge in Israel who succumbed to such temptations despite his formidable anointing.

The pastor, known for his candid teachings, expressed that as he ages, he runs even faster to avoid any hint of sexual temptation. He underscored the vulnerability of ministers who might believe their anointing makes them impervious to such challenges, warning them of the consequences of complacency.

Addressing the congregation, Adeboye remarked, “With all your anointing? Does anointing turn your body to stone? Samson was anointed. Single-handedly, he killed a thousand soldiers. A woman finished him. I hope the boys are listening.”

He further advised youths, particularly young men, to be cautious of lustful advances and urged them to flee from situations that could lead to sin. He warned young women about flattering words from men and cautioned against falling prey to deceptive charms.

Adeboye's sermon, shared on his YouTube page, resonated with his message of maintaining moral integrity and spiritual vigilance, regardless of one's position or spiritual stature. His teachings continue to emphasize the importance of personal responsibility in resisting temptation and upholding moral purity in the face of worldly allurements.
