Senator Shehu Sani, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former lawmaker from Kaduna who represented the constituency in the National Assembly, recently made the comment that no nation should ever again lecture another about democracy and freedom. He made this statement in response to a question that was posed to him. This statement has prompted a variety of responses across various social media platforms.
Sani made the following remark in response to the recent crackdown that the United States of America has been implementing on nonviolent demonstrators.
In a post that he made on his official X Twitter account on Friday, Shehu Sani asserted that the United States of America, which is considered to be a beacon of liberty, is now joining the list of countries that have crushed demonstrators. These countries include Russia, Iran, China, Nigeria, Belarus, Egypt, Algeria, and now the United States of America. It is imperative that no nation ever again preaches democracy and freedom to any other nation by any means whatsoever.

"Russia crushed protesters, Iran crushed protesters, China crushed potesters, Nigeria crushed protesters, Belarus crushed protesters, Egypt crushed protesters, Algeria crushed protesters, and now, America,the headquarters of freedom is crushing protesters. No nation should preach to any nation about freedom and democracy again".
