Spanish heavyweights Barcelona are making some huge and important decision on their squad ahead of next season. In latest news, the Catalan club are reportedly set to finalise a new long term contract for one of their key players in Pau Cubarsi.

Pau Cubarsi could be set to continue with Barcelona for the foreseeable future. The 17 year old Spanish defender has been nothing short of sensational since he made his first team debut for the Blaugrana club in January. He has helped the team to be in good form in Laliga and reach the Quarter Finals of the UEFA champions league. His contract at the club expires in 2026 and a renewal is imminent.

According to reports from newspaper outlet Mundo Deportivo, A new contract for Pau Cubarsi is set to be finalised. The deal will reportedly be signed for the five or six seasons with a very hefty release clause and a salary increase for the player.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Pau Cubarsi as he is set to stay on at Barcelona for a long time.
