Senator Karen Nyamu has voiced her unhappiness with Law Society of Kenya (LSK) president Faith Odhiambo for rejecting President William Ruto's nomination. The LSK described the appointment as unconstitutional. Nyamu reacts when LSK boss rejects appointment. Nyamu took to social media to express his confusion about the LSK president's decision to reject down the post. She claimed that Odhiambo had deprived Kenyans the opportunity to have their interests represented by the best.
"I'm not sure why LSK president Faith Odhiambo declined the President's appointment to the task committee that would perform a forensic audit of the public debt. "She has declined an opportunity to have Kenyans' interests represented by the premier bar association in accordance with one of its objectives to protect and assist the public in Kenya in all matters touching, ancillary, or incidental to the law," Nyamu stated. She went further: "Public debt is a momentous challenge we face as a country, and I'm somewhat disappointed that she wasn't eager to be part of the first step to figuring it out."
