Why I'll Never Take Gov Sani Serious Is He Supported El-Rufai To Take Those Foreign Loans—Atiku's DG

In a recent statement via his official X account, Abdul-Aziz Nai'ibi Abubakar, the Director-General of Atiku's The Light Organization, commented on former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, lawsuit against the Kaduna State House of Assembly over allegations that his administration siphoned ₦432bn, leaving the state with huge debt.

El-Rufai filed a fundamental rights suit at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Wednesday, challenging the Assembly’s report.

El-Rufai is seeking a court declaration that the Assembly's probe report is null and void.

He argues that he was not given a fair hearing regarding the allegations made against him and his administration by the committee.

In response, Abubakar criticized both El-Rufai and the current Governor, Uba Sani, for their handling of foreign loans during El-Rufai's tenure.

"The reason why I would never take Gov. Uba Sani serious is how he supported El-rufai to take foreign loans when he was a governor of Kaduna state. What has stopped Uba Sani to personally advise Elrufai?

At least, Kaduna experienced developments under Elrufai, and he raised Kaduna IGR from N11billion in 2015, to N62 billion in 2023.

If this investigation findings happened to be untrue then, Gov. Uba Sani will end up making Elrufai a hero instead of deeming his light, but before then, let's wait and watch how the drama will end in the court," Abubakar wrote.
