The Former Senator who represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the alleged report that Bola Tinubu's led federal government used the sum of $2 billion to reinforce Naira.
While reacting, Senator Shehu Sani made it known that there was a claim that $2 billion of our foreign reserve was used to reinforce the Naira. Sani went on and noted that it was reported also that the federal government borrowed ₦3.8 trillion from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN in 6 months, noting that the federal government denied both claims.
Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Sunday evening. He went further and noted that only the Nigerian Senate and Rep Committee in Banking and Finance can clear the air, thereby demanding that they should do so.
He wrote: "First,there was a claim that $2 Billion of our foreign reserve was used to reinforce the Naira. Then there is a claim that FG borrowed N3.8 trillion from the CBN ways & means in 6 months; Both claims were denied by the FG. Only the Senate & Reps committee on Banking & Finance can Clear the air and they should."
