Gunmen launched a brazen attack on Bmuko Community in Abuja, resulting in the abduction of several individuals, including the wife and brother of Engineer Patrick. The gravity of the situation was underscored by a community leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealing that the kidnappers arrived heavily armed with AK-47 rifles. The severity of the situation was further evident as some residents discovered AK-47 bullets during a subsequent search of the area at night.
According to what the community leader said in the report by Vanguard News, "As we speak, the soldiers who went searching for them have returned without rescuing them. The policemen are still in the bush searching for them. The wife and brother of one engineer, Patrick, were also among the people that were kidnapped, as was a pastor. The kidnappers came with an AK-47 because some of the guys during the night search picked up about two or three bullets of AK-47."
