JUST IN: Police Confirm Killing of Woman in Ijebu Ode

Olubukonla Adebanjo, a 35-year-old woman, was murdered in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, on June 29. She was attacked with a machete by unknown men while buying food items. Her husband, Olaoluwa Adebanjo, discovered her in a pool of blood. Residents and her husband demand justice. Pastor Fidelis Elekwachi highlighted ongoing security issues in the area. The Ogun State Police confirmed the incident and assured a thorough investigation.

National Grid Fully Restored — TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced the full restoration of the national grid after a partial disturbance on Saturday caused by the unexpected tripping of three power generating units, removing 313MW from the grid. This disturbance led to a blackout across parts of the country. TCN's General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, confirmed that efforts to restore the grid began immediately, and by 21:57 on the same day, the affected parts were successfully restored.
