Despite even President William Ruto bowing to the pressure and withdrew the Finance Bill 2024, the Gen Zs have not yet relented and the protests are still on. Yesterday the Gen Zs together with the Millennials had gathered at Uhuru park for a Mashujaaz concert. The concert was aimed at honoring and celebrating the lives of those who were killed during the protests by the police officers.

Despite claims that the Gen Zs are being funded by certain people within the nation, different leaders continue to give their views. Gen Z movement is said to be leaderless, tribeless and fearless but the big question is whether the claims are true. One of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition supporter and and the Kileleshwa MCA, Robert Alai, has alleged that the former president Uhuru Kenyatta, and the deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua, are behind the protests.

The ODM MCA questioned why Kenyans shouldn't talk about Uhuru and Kibaki. He questioned whether during Uhuru's and Kibaki's regime people were not killed or even money was not looted. He stated that the ongoing protests are financed by Uhuru Kenyatta and Rigathi Gachagua citing that he no longer trusts the duo. Do you believe in Alai's allegations? Are Gen Zs being funded to protest? Share your opinions on the same matter.
