General Tsiga: In the space of 2 days, 400 people have already deserted the town - Resident
A resident whose names were withheld recently narrated the ordeal of community members following the abduction of General Maharazu Tsiga, the former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps from his hometown in Katsina state. In his statements which drew widespread attention from the general public, he pointed out that over four hundred people have deserted the community in the space of two days.
The abduction of Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga from his hometown in Katsina state came as a shock to many after the reports of his kidnap went viral across various social media platforms. His abduction however, generated tension in the community as a lot number of community members fled, according to a recent statement from a resident which was made available to the general public by news outlet, VANGUARD.
According to the resident whose names were not ventilated to the general public, in the aftermath of the General's abduction, 400 persons have deserted the community in the space of two days. He also made it known that the general was a big man in the community and for him to be abducted, it meant no one was safe, hence, the people were terrified and had to flee.

“Between yesterday and today (i.e. between Thursday and Friday), 400 people have already deserted the town. General Tsiga is a big man in the town whom we all look up to. And if a general we all look up to could be abducted like that, how much more ordinary people. So, the people are terrified and that’s why they are fleeing the community." He said.
