The Edo State police command recently paraded some cultists arrested for armed robbery.

In a video shared by Channels TV, Funsho Adegboye, the Commissioner of Police in Edo State explained that the arrested individuals were members of the Eiye cult. He said initially, their plan was to kill a member of a rival group called the Vikings, however, when they couldn't find their target, they decided not to go home empty-handed and turned to robbery instead.

Adegboye highlighted this as an example of how cult violence and criminal activities are connected. He urged the public to understand the dangers of cultism and how it often leads to other serious crimes like robbery.

In Adegboye's words: "They said they wanted to go and kill another member of a rival cult group which is Vikings. As luck was against them, they didn't see the victim to kill so instead of going home empty-handed, they decided to go for robbery. You can see the correlation that I am talking about"
