It's no longer news that the Labour Party candidate in the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, emerged as the winner in Thursday's election and, with that, he is set to be the next Prime Minister after defeating close rival Rishi Sunak. Amid all that, Peter Obi, who, before the election, urged Nigerians in the United Kingdom to vote for the Labour Party.
After the election, Peter Obi took to his X account to congratulate Keir Starmer on his landslide victory. Amid all that, a former aide to President Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has expressed concerns to people who genuinely believe that the tweet from Peter Obi, helped influence the Labour Party win in the UK. Bashir Ahmad's tweet reads;
"Wow. So, there are really some people who genuinely believe that Peter Obi's tweet/influence helped the Labour Party win the election in the United Kingdom. This is despite the fact that he couldn’t influence his own Labour Party to win a single governorship seat outside his state. One cannot fathom how gullible those supporters are".
