During a conversation with a correspondent from The Punch, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who is now serving as the senator who represents the Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, discussed his political path as well as other topics.
The statement that Senator Alli made in response to a question about the strategy that the Federal Government had devised for the execution of the Oronsaye Report was that the Federal Government had established a committee to facilitate its implementation. At the same time that the previous administrations of Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan did not take action on the report, he urged the people of Nigeria to praise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts on the report.
He said, " The Federal Government has set up a committee that has begun work on it. Let us commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for acting on it. For eight years, former President Mohammadu Buhari could not implement. Even President Goodluck Jonathan who set up the committee that came up with the report did not act on it."
