Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stated that the court did not issue any consequential order regarding the party primary or the PDP governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo.

Speaking in an interview on Arise TV's Prime Time programme, he emphasised that the court's judgement confirmed the legitimacy of the primary election.

Abdullahi criticised the delegate's counsel for spreading misinformation by suggesting that there was a consequential order.

He pointed out that this misleading information has created unnecessary confusion among party members and the public.

According to him, the delegate's counsel should be held accountable for this misrepresentation.

Abdullahi reiterated that the PDP will appeal the judgement, reaffirming their commitment to following the legal process.

He expressed confidence that their position will be upheld in court, ensuring that the party's primary election and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, remain valid.

He stressed the importance of accurate information and transparency in legal proceedings, urging all parties involved to refrain from spreading false information.

Abdullahi assured the public that the PDP is committed to maintaining the integrity of its electoral process and will continue to fight for justice in this case.

Abdullahi said, "The judgement entails that the primary still remains valid. However, the interpretation was the bone of contention at the court. The counsel of the delegate needs to be cautioned for giving the impression that there was a consequential order.

"There was no consequential order by my Lord to that effect. We are certainly going to appeal the judgement, and that is the position of the law. There was no order stating that our candidate has been invalidated or disqualified."
