According to a report by the Daily Post, Orji Uzor Kalu, the senator representing Abia North, has called for peace in Rivers State. He urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to reconcile with his predecessor, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike. Kalu made this appeal during a courtesy visit to Governor Fubara on Friday.

Kalu emphasized the importance of peace and reconciliation, noting that harmony between Governor Fubara and former Governor Wike would greatly benefit Rivers State. He expressed his intention to involve President Bola Tinubu in facilitating a swift reconciliation process. "Governor Fubara, your leadership has shown great promise, and it is evident that you have the people’s best interests at heart. I encourage you to maintain peace and work towards reconciliation with former governor Wike," Kalu stated.
