According to the report from the Vanguard, At the APC South East Stakeholder’s Meeting held at the Christian Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Addulahi Umar Ganduje, emphasized the party's strategic focus on converting Abia, Enugu, and Anambra to APC-controlled states. He urged party stakeholders in the region to collaborate closely to advance the party's interests and achieve control over these remaining South East states.

Ganduje stated, “For us to take over Enugu, Anambra, and Abia States, we must unite, uphold internal democracy, and understand the constitution of our Party.” He also announced the forthcoming implementation of electronic registration to assess polling unit registrations for APC membership. 

He encouraged stakeholders in Ebonyi to maintain their efforts until the entire South East region is politically aligned with the APC. Additionally, he assured the South East that the party is actively working on its blueprint to address the marginalization of the region, which aims to fully integrate the South East into the national political framework.

Hope Uzodinma, the Executive Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the South-East Governor’s Forum, addressed the economic challenges facing Nigerians, urging patience with the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Uzodinma emphasized, “The economic policies of the present administration will soon yield dividends.”

He cautioned against protests and crises, attributing such activities to politicians who lost in the 2023 general elections, stating, “People engineering protests are people who lost elections. We will not let them incite our people.”

Uzodinma expressed gratitude to Governor Nwifuru for transforming Ebonyi into a one-party state and highlighted the importance of unity and hope amidst economic hardships.

He remarked, “I am not happy that the cost of living is high, but the good news is that the policies of the federal government, if judiciously implemented, will bring prosperity to our people.”

He also thanked the National Chairman for efforts to de-marginalize the South East, emphasizing that electoral victories will lead to improved conditions for the region.
