In a recent statement via his official social media account, human rights activist and former Chairman of Nigeria's National Human Rights Commission, Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, has issued a response to Senator Ben Murray-Bruce's praise of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project.
Odinkalu addressed Senator Murray-Bruce directly, questioning the inconsistency in his actions.
"Ben, What happened to #JustMakingCommonsense? The ghosts on #EastWestRoad await your visit, meanwhile. Please do not keep them waiting," Professor Odinkalu wrote.
Senator Murray-Bruce had previously visited the construction site of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road and expressed admiration for the project.
However, Odinkalu's response highlights the perceived neglect of other critical infrastructure projects, such as the East-West Road, which continues to face challenges and delays.
