After 17 years, seasoned radio host Conrad Gray, better known by his stage name G Money, has announced his resignation from Homeboyz Radio.

The seasoned broadcaster has been presenting a morning program called "The Power Up," which was once known as "G-Money in the Morning."

G Money announced via his official social media accounts on Friday, June 28, 2024, that he will be conducting his final program today, signaling the end of an era for the station and its devoted listeners.

The morning show host remarked that although he was delighted to be leaving the station, his heart was heavy because of the numerous deaths, even as he offered his condolences to those who lost their lives during the anti-government and anti-Finance Bill protests.

According to G Money, the radio era he was a part of gave many young people the chance to take off and fly. My heart was sad as I left the house this morning to do my last show on @HomeboyzRadio and left the radio scene.

I would want to express my gratitude to all of the viewers of the show. Many young individuals have had the chance to fly and spread their wings there. He remarked, "I'm saddened by the backdrop of this moment yet pleased to be leaving.

G Money went on to remark that it's not about him bidding adieu, but rather about those who won't get the chance to do so.

This moment isn't about me saying goodbye; rather, it's about those who won't get the chance to say goodbye because their lives have been taken, before they truly have had a chance to live.

"We have lost so many people this week, so many young people whose only crime was to care enough about their future to say "No." G Money said.

"To everyone, including those who are grieving a loss and those who are really appalled by what we have witnessed. I send my sincere sympathies. They were our children. They ought to have been present.

My heart is sad as I leave the house this morning to do my last show on @HomeboyzRadio. This week has seen a great loss of life—so many young people, the only offense of which was to care enough about their future to say no. This isn't a farewell from me moment; rather, it's about them.
