No one would be able to depose Ochi Idoma Elaigwu Odogbo while he is in office, according to Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, who has urged those planning to remove him to reconsider their plans.

Ochi Idoma Square in the Otukpo Local Government Area of the State was the site of the warning, which was issued by Alia's deputy, Sam Ode.

Ochi Idoma square in Otukpo town was the site of a celebration honoring the expansion of the kingdom and other accomplishments by notable idoma ethnic nationalities in Benue State.

The Tor Tiv Orchivirigh James Ayatse, chairman of the council of chiefs, has joined the Ochi idoma Agabaidu Elaigwu Odogbo, and notable sons, such as deputy governor Sam Ode, have been recognized as select achievements.

Even though the list of recipients included notable Nigerians like the Deputy Governor and the commissioner for finance, among sixteen others, the name of the immediate former commissioner for finance, David Olofu, was removed from the list just before the ceremony, but he has since stated that he has moved on.

Olofu, whose name was similarly slated to be on the list, did not make it, which caused dissension for the Idoma region traditional council, even though other awardees have reasons to celebrate.
