Cyriel Dessers, the Nigerian striker who scored an impressive 22 goals for Scottish side Rangers last season, has expressed his concern that his international career with the Super Eagles may be coming to an end, according to OwnGoalNigeria. Dessers was left out of the recent squad for the international break, despite his impressive form for his club.

The 27-year-old striker has four caps for Nigeria and has scored twice for the Super Eagles. However, he has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the team, facing stiff competition from other talented strikers like Victor Osimhen, Paul Onuachu, and Terem Moffi.

Dessers' exclusion from the recent squad has left him feeling worried and frustrated, with the striker admitting that he feels like his international career is at a crossroads. "It really left me worried because I worked under the coach in the first two games he handled and even scored. I expected to be involved but it's Nigeria where we have so many options and the latest snub made me feel like it's curtains down for me," he said.

Despite his impressive form for Rangers, Dessers is aware that he faces a tough battle to regain his place in the Super Eagles squad. With the team's abundance of attacking talent, Dessers knows that he must continue to work hard and impress if he is to revive his international career.
