The G-5 governors who feel mistreated have been instructed to support All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election. According to ThisDay Live.
Members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State claim that Tinubu would win with confidence, but they are urging additional support from Nigerians, notably the G-5 governors, to make it a smoother journey for him.
He stated: "Whether they are full-fledged party members or not, the leadership of the APC and PCC in Rivers State should not discriminate against people who are prepared and eager to work for the Asiwaju/Shettima presidency. We will endeavor to elect Asiwaju/Shettima to the president, and we will resoundingly win Rivers State rather than just deliver the necessary 25% of the vote. To enable him (Tinubu) to reproduce in Nigeria the same change in Lagos, which was a dungeon before 1999, we urge on the G5 governors and other willing Nigerians to swing their support for Asiwaju/Shettima.
