Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against allowing anti-democratic forces to destabilize Rivers State. In a statement issued on Friday, Wabara emphasized that there is no justification for declaring a state of emergency in the state, despite the ongoing conflict between Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Nyseom Wike.

"There is nothing happening in the state that warrants the call for a state of emergency as being demanded by these fake apostles of peace," Wabara asserted. He cautioned that attempts to destabilize the PDP-led government in Rivers State would trigger political unrest with far-reaching consequences for the entire country.

According to Vanguard News reports, The PDP BoT Chairman warned that any attempt to tamper with Fubara would spell doom for Nigeria. Wabara urged President Tinubu to resist pressure from power-hungry elements seeking to manipulate the situation for their gain. He warned that such actions could paint Tinubu as a despot and lead to unnecessary upheaval in Nigeria.
