Alleged 30bn embezzlement: federal high court grants EX- minister 10bn bail

Federal High Court has granted bail to a former minister of power, Saleh Mamman who is facing allegations of embezzling 30 billion naira. The bail amount was set at 10 billion naira, and the former minister has been ordered to provide suretie who must also deposit their international passports with the court.


The former minister of power, Saleh Mamman was arrested and charged with embezzlement after an investigation revealed that he had misappropriated funds meant for a government project. The court granted him bail on the condition that he surrenders his travel documents and reports to the court regularly.


The case has attracted widespread attention and criticism of so many Nigerian citizens had complained so bitterly about this issue , with many calling for a thorough investigation and prosecution of those involved in the alleged embezzlement. The court has set a date for the trial to begin, and the former minister is expected to face justice for his alleged crimes.
