Salihu Lukman, the former national vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-West region, has made serious accusations against Nigerian elected officials, comparing their conduct to that of internet fraudsters (Yahoo-Yahoo). He suggested that these officials are misappropriating public resources and properties for personal enrichment.

Lukman condemned the leaders for overlooking critical issues such as insecurity, which he attributed to problems like poverty, unemployment, and substance abuse among the youth. He criticized the politicians for inadequately addressing these urgent challenges. ( Photo credit : The Vanguard Newspaper Verified Facebook Page )

According to The Sun, Lukman stated that virtually all governments at every level have been captured by so-called elected leaders who operate more like Yahoo-Yahoo fraudsters, diverting public resources and assets to their private use. He added that problems of insecurity in the country, which are a byproduct of the crisis of poverty, unemployment, and substance abuse among young people, are hardly getting the deserved attention of elected leaders.
