Following through on their threats, thousands of young people have demonstrated, against the controversial Finance Bill 2024 in big numbers.

Nairobi's anti-finance bill demonstrations have been more intense, with young people setting bonfires along Kenyatta Avenue.

Roadblocks erected by anti-riot police have caused traffic to be interrupted along Thika Road, where hundreds of teenagers are their route to the Nairobi CBD.

To keep the demonstrators out, anti-riot police forces have closed off main routes, that lead to Nairobi's Central Business District.

On Tuesday, June 25, thousands of demonstrators demonstrated against the Finance Bill 2024, bringing Thika Road, a major thoroughfare in Nairobi, to a complete stop.

TUKO.co.ke's pot check reveals hundreds of fearless demonstrators making their way on foot, to the Nairobi CBD to join in the demonstrations.

Thika Road saw severe traffic interruptions as a result of the demonstrators' banner, waving and slogan screaming.

Meanwhile, demonstrators opposing the contentious bill in Nairobi's CBD have set bonfires along Kenyatta Avenue. Tear gas is being used by police to disperse a large throng in the CBD.
