Nnamdi Kanu:There is an ethnic and unnecessary bias that is keeping that man in jail–Kenneth Okonkwo

According to the report from the Cable, a chieftain of the Labour Party, Kenneth Okonkwo questioned the unique treatment of Nnamdi Kanu's case, suggesting it stems from ethnic bias and unfounded prejudice, which has resulted in his continued imprisonment.

He called on the government to exercise wisdom and release Kanu, either conditionally or unconditionally.

As a legal professional, he noted discrepancies and conflicting opinions among the various courts, from the high court to the supreme court, regarding Kanu's case.

He argued that these inconsistencies further highlight the need for the government to reassess and potentially resolve the situation by releasing Kanu.

He said, "Why is Nnamdi Kanu’s case different? There is an ethnic and some unnecessary bias that is keeping that man in jail. The government should be wise enough to release this man. You can release him conditionally or unconditionally. As a lawyer, I have watched the legal issues very clearly, and I saw that even in the courts, from the high court to the supreme court, there are discordant tunes amongst them."
