Nairobi CBD is one of the areas where Gen Z led protests have been serious in the past, as youths engaged police officers in running battles, disrupting businesses as witnessed during the last protests held on Tuesday this week.
However, that was not the case as at the time of going to the press at around 12:45PM EAT today, as Video shared by a reliable source of information revealing the situation at Nairobi's Central Business District as at the time, indicated otherwise.
According to the video seen by this writer, businesses and transport had returned to normal at the CBD despite the much awaited anti-goverment protests that had been announced by the Gen Zs.
Several commercial vehicles could be spotted in the area, transacting their normal businesses as uniformed police officers patrolled the CBD.
The officers had no hard time control Kenyans who were in the CBD as no threats of demonstrations was witnessed in the area as at the time, but their vehicles were also packed besides the roads, ready for any necessary action.
Shops, motorbike operators and other businesses were also going on normally as some of the police officers were spotted relaxing in inside the police lorries.
