Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has shared his insights on the current state of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the governance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In response to Senator Adolphus Wabara's recent claim that the APC is attempting to turn Nigeria into a one-party state, Sule Lamido asserted that the APC will stop at nothing to maintain its grip on power. He emphasized that it is up to the PDP and other political parties to counter the APC's dominance by upping their game and competing more effectively for political control.
Sule Lamido also made it clear that he is not a member of the APC and has no faith in their ability to govern Nigeria effectively. He criticized the APC's policy-making approach, stating that they often act without careful consideration of the potential consequences of their actions.
In an interview with Arise News Television today, he said: "My view here is that APC as a political party will do anything to promote their own fortune, It is then up to the PDP and other political parties to say no you can do it. You can't deny the APC of their own thought of trying to turn Nigeria into a one-party state for their own benefit. It is up to us in the PDP and other political parties to say no you can't do it".
"I am not an APC member and I don't share their philosophy nor do I believe in their capability, sincerity, and commitment for Nigeria. If you look at their background, how they came together, and how they are assembled. They don't mean well for Nigeria they only mean well for themselves".
