The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Ireti Kingibe has revealed how she campaigned vigorously for former President, Muhammadu Buhari when she was a member of the All Progressive Congress APC.
She made the revelation while she was speaking recently on Arise TV. She said she was an ardent supporter of the former president and she campaigned for him very well because she believed that he was going to change the country. The FCT senator said Buhari was thinking he would get 25% in FCT but got 48% because they mobilized for him.
She said despite everything, Buhari didn't perform. Kingibe said things are getting worse in the country and her fear is that the people are being pushed to the wall.
Here is what Ireti Kingibe said;
"He was thinking he would get 25% in FCT but he got 48% because we all mobilized for him but he too didn't do anything. Things are getting worse in the country. We are getting to the point where I fear that we are pushing the people to the wall because they are hungry now. People can absorb everything. As a nation, we are resilient, we are complacent, we are able to take things in our stride but I don't think we can take hunger in our stride".
